Review: "My 15 years" by Luiza Trigo

Book: My 15 years
Series: My 15 year old
Author: Luiza Trigo
Pages: 232
Publisher: Rocco

My 15 years tells the story of Beatriz, a studious girl, passionate about movies, who does not care much for her appearance but who has the great dream that many teenage girls have: having a great party of 15 years. The plot revolves around this party, and of course, like any teen universe that everyone who has passed through this phase knows well: friendships, enmities, crushes, doubts, afternoons with friends watching movies ..

Bia has a crush on Thiago, one of the most beautiful boys (and assholes!) Of the school, (who is not never my people?) And gets super anxious just to deliver the invitation of his mega party to him. The protagonist is imagining and fantasizing if she will have the opportunity to dance a song with him at her party. But Bia chooses Bruno to be her prince since Bu, the nickname she gave him, has been her friend practically since they were born because their mothers are friends and became pregnant at the same time. Of course, Bruno is very passionate about Bia. You could feel the love triangle, right?

The interesting thing is that the author alternates the points of view during the story, so there are excerpts narrated by Bia, others by Bruno, some by Bia's best friend, Amanda and even by the most disgusting girl in the room, who is superior to all , Jessica, of course, thinks in every way in a way to spoil the very special day of Bia, after all Jessica's party had to be the best of all, not the nerdy one.

A simple story built on teenage cliches, but it was a delight to read and took me back to my 15 years and the dramas of my college, leaving me a little nostalgic.
